NetResident is a network monitoring application used for intercepting, storing  and reconstructing a wide variety of network events and activities, namely e-mail messages, web pages, downloaded files, instant messages (ICQ/AIM, MSN), and VoIP conversations.

Many NetResident features resemble a network analyzer. However, there is a difference between them.

NetResident is aimed for system administrators responsible for network security and controlling network activity of LAN users. This tool will also be rather helpful for legal experts. If you use other TamoSoft products, namely CommView or CommView for WiFi you have a possibility to use NetResident. Thus, it can process log files generated by these products. After NetResident processes these files you will get access to e-mail messages, web pages and other types of information and will be able to quickly analyze them.
